February 1, 2023: The County Manager recommended taking a step backwards before moving forward. No action will be taken on any land-for-housing transfer until a criteria-based due diligence process can developed.
January 25, 2023: Public Comments Made at Board Meeting requesting that detailed process steps and criteria be specified in step 3 of the County’s Due Diligence Process – similar to what was recommended by the County Manager in June 2021.
January 24, 2023: County updated their web site to add the following ‘process’:
- Receive Expression(s) of Interest
- Presentation to Board with Q&A
- If directed, Staff reviews the proposal and prepares a staff report. “The staff report will address feasibility and any conditions or considerations that may be appropriate.”
- Formal Board Consideration
“The timeline for completing the four-step process will vary based on site conditions, proposed project elements and the work load of participating departments and agencies. The goal is to complete in a 3-6-month timeframe.” (From February 1 Work Session Packet – page 5.)
